Today, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Greater Montreal area. Conditions were right for strong wind gusts and heavy rain. Luckily, the watch was lifted by late afternoon. People had to stay alert and change their outdoor plans. The weather warning was lifted shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday. It's good when these things don't turn into a real mess.
