Yesterday, the public discussion about racism allegations at the Montreal North police station (Station 39) got postponed. Police Chief Fady Dagher and the City of Montreal's Public Safety Commission are involved. The forum, first set for July 8, is now on August 11 out of respect for a fallen officer's funeral. This matters a lot for trust between the police and the community, especially in Montreal North. People want answers and accountability. The rescheduled event will happen at City Hall, at 275 Notre-Dame St. East.
