So, major traffic headaches this weekend. What happened is Mobilité Montréal announced full closures or big detours for the Viger, Ville-Marie, and Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnels. Good news, the Honoré-Mercier bridge closures got cancelled. This whole thing is managed by Mobilité Montréal and the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable. It's happening downtown and connecting Montréal to the South Shore, especially the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel. It matters to Montréal because it messes with daily commutes and how people get around, especially for work or weekend plans. Drivers are pretty fed up with all the construction, some even spitting on road flaggers. Just so you know, the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel was completely shut down from Friday 11 p.m. to Saturday 8 a.m.
