Sammy Obeid, an American of Lebanese-Palestinian descent, was born in Oakland, California. He pursued a double major in business and mathematics at the University of Berkeley before turning down a job at Google to become a comedian. Currently the host of the Netflix show 100 Humans, he has also appeared on NBC's Last Comic Standing and America's Got Talent, as well as TBS's Conan.
