The Pussy Riot, a feminist punk collective with colored balaclavas, have been performing contentious artistic performances for sixteen years opposing the Russian regime of Vladimir Putin. It was their famous \\"Punk Prayer\\" in the enormous Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow that made them known worldwide in 2012: \\"Virgin Mary, mother of God, banish Putin!\\", they chanted before being arrested and imprisoned.
