Kelly is the guest of honor at a party to highlight her emergence from depression. While her friends celebrate her return to life, she is mostly looking for something to cling to. When Francis, a mysterious stranger fascinated by birds, appears in the apartment, a strange and electrifying attraction crosses them. As they kiss, they open up breaches to parallel universes where everything seems broader, more intense, and freer.
