Our bungalows are the setting for a unique cohabitation between three predators, gathered around a refrigerator. If humans and dogs naturally seek the company of others, cats tend to be more solitary. As Ira Lewis so aptly illustrated: Dogs think: they feed me, they protect me, they must be gods. Cats, on the other hand, think: they feed me, they protect me, I must be a god.
