Billy bragg

Galvanized in the late 70s by The Clash and their aversion to Margaret Thatcher's austere policies, Billy Bragg gave himself the mission to inspire political engagement and empathy, and he has never deviated from this path. Over the years, he has given numerous charity concerts - for miners, the Labour Party, the CND, the unemployed, the homeless and many more - and has run the Left Field political stage at Glastonbury for the last 15 years.
