Founded in 2004 by Ilchi, Hanggai is a world-renowned Chinese Mongolian folk rock band, whose members are from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Qinghai, and northern China. Deeply rooted in Mongolian musical and cultural traditions, Hanggai blends traditional instruments - such as the tovshuur (two-stringed lute) and the morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle) - with throat singing.
