Actoral 2024. 6th Biennial of Contemporary Arts and Writings. Originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, and of Métis-Cree and Dutch descent, choreographer Daina Ashbee has distinguished herself from the start with powerful and visceral pieces that address head-on the struggle of Indigenous culture and women, loss of identity, and the breakdown of the community.
