To celebrate her recent promotion to the head of the prestigious recruitment agency Top Girls, Marlène organizes a festive dinner at a London restaurant. Her guests, at least unexpected, are legendary and famous women: explorer Isabella Bird, imperial concubine Dame Nijō, Margot the madwoman from Bruegel, Pope Joan, and Griselda, a character from The Canterbury Tales.
