Morrissey, an indie British music icon, is a singer and lyricist of Irish descent born in Manchester in 1959. After being the charismatic leader of The Smiths, one of the most influential alternative bands of the 80s, he embarked on a successful solo career. His debut solo album, Viva Hate, released in 1988, spawned the hit single Suedehead. Since then, Morrissey has continued to enchant fans with his unique voice and poetic lyrics.
