Maurice Dancause, a hardworking, brilliant economist and civil servant, gets up one morning and collapses. Stroke. Nine days in a coma, four years of rehabilitation. Since then, everything has changed: his brain, his tastes, his sensitivity, his personality even. And in the background there is aphasia, the real battle he fights every day to find words. But far from being defeated, Maurice prefers his new life that he chooses to live fully.
