About event

The Château Dufresne was the home of the first National Museum of Contemporary Art in Quebec, the MAC, newly created by the government of Jean Lesage, which recognized the political value of the arts, now considered as defining elements of Quebec society. Although the Château's life was short-lived, from summer 1965 to spring 1968, the MAC played a determining role in the artistic life of the metropolis.
