Lounis Aït Menguellet, a charismatic symbol of the contemporary Kabyle music scene. Born on January 17, 1950, in the Djurdjura mountains, he sings in the Kabyle language and advocates for his people's rights. A poet-musician, he embodies the Kabyle demands for recognition. His repertoire is a delicious blend of folk, Algerian music, and traditional Kabyle sounds.
