Lucy Love follows the tumultuous path of Lucyna, an idealistic young woman from a small Polish town. In 1975, she enters the convent to fulfill her dream of becoming a nun, but emerges disillusioned. Back home, she meets a German engineer, Andres, who suddenly disappears.
