Under the gaze of her wife, mother, and loved ones, she tries to find her place as best she can. Ella Rumpf and Monia Chokri movingly convey sincerity and authenticity in this first film by Alice Douard, presented at the Critics' Week of the Cannes Festival, a work as delicate as it is necessary. It brings to mind the beauty of A Simple Story in this tale, which isn't as simple as all that.
